Best Italian Restaurant in Beaufort Celebrated our anniversary at Miramare. The food was delicious - calamari appetizer, penne and shrimp in vodka sauce, pasta with seafood, and tiramisu for dessert. The service was excellent! Our waiter was very attentive, and we enjoyed chatting with him. The restaurant is in the beautiful community of Habersham - nice for a stroll before or after dinner. Better Italian food is only in Italy! Hands down the best Italian restaurant in Beaufort! I can't say enough good things about Miramad ...but I'll try.My wife and I went there to celebrate our 27th anniversary, and right from the start we knew we had made the right choice.It was Legacy's first day at Miramar and we were his first table. He gave us complimentary proseco since it was our anniversary, something we've got it Italy, while waiting for a table. He was absolutely great! Now the food. I ordered the fried calamari for our appetizer, which was heaveny. Very lightly battered and exquisitely fried to the point you could taste any trace of oil. I ordered Scoglio for my main, which is basically Frutta del mare (fruit of the sea). My wife had the shrimp and penne in vodka sauce. My dish was out of this world good. It was lightly seasoned and not overpowered with any one spice as is so often done with garlic in other places. It came with a lobster tale and plenty of clams and mussels! The linguine was perfect as well, al Dante.My wife's shrimp in vodka sauce was equally delicious! Shrimp, penne, and sauce were perfect and not overpowering.The wine Legacy recommended was a Romma Pino grigio, which was a perfect complement to an outstanding meal!And lastly, we had the tiramsu, which brought us back to all the fabulous desserts we've had it Italy.If you want a better Italian dinner, you'll have to book a flight to Naples to get one!

Excellent service, good food Good local Italian food, but it’s hard to call it great. Was it worth it? Yes. But I’m not sure how many times I would return. We had four couples, and all enjoyed their meals. My wife and I had bruschetta, a pasta dish and I had veal piccata. The table enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine with their meals. The bruschetta was well done, the pasta dish also good as was the veal. It’s hard for me to give five stars to an “Italian” restaurant that serves spaghetti and meatballs. Please, someone tell them this is not an Italian dish. But I get it, this is America and they know their market. My wife did not enjoy her meal as much as I did, but our party did seem to be satisfied that the food was prepared well. A decent wine list also. But what was most impressive was our server, Sarah. She was the perfect professional - attentive, thoughtful, completely competent and sensitive to what was going on at the table. She got everything right, was genuine without being intrusive at all. She made it a great experience. If you go, ask for her.

Delicious Italian food We enjoyed a wonderful Italian meal at Miramare. The atmosphere was very pleasant and Sinatra was crooning in the background. We shared a tuna tartare appetizer that was fresh and generously proportioned. The veal saltimbocca with pasta was excellent and the beef fillet was tender, cooked perfectly as requested; it came with tasty roasted carrots and truffle fries. Yum!

Neighborhood gem Fantastic atmosphere with good food and service. Everyone liked their meal from lasagna to gnocchi. House wine was so-so.
